Fractora Micro-Needling with Radio Frequency

The science bit

What Is Skin Resurfacing?

Fractora creates a series of microscopic wounds throughout the epidermal and dermal layers of your skin. The surrounding tissues remain undamaged by the treatment, and that means the affected cells heal faster, replaced with young functional cells. At the same time the treatment stimulates the regeneration of the skin’s essential collagen and elastin fibres.

Before
After

Fractora delivers targeted bipolar RF energy through microscopic needles to various selectable depths in the skin. All this happens without the usual downtime, prolonged redness, and pigmentation problems.

Fractora is mainly used to treat facial problem areas, but also treats small areas of the body. It can also provide impressive results on darker skin. Fractora micro-needling can improve the appearance of:

  • Skin texture
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Scarring, including acne scars
  • Active acne and open pores
  • Epidermal melanin pigmentation
  • Superficial vascular lesions
  • Scar tissue, including keloid and post-acne scars
  • Stretch marks
  • The tone and texture of the skin

What Can I Expect from Fractora Micro-Needling?

This treatment requires topical anaesthetic, which we apply 40 minutes before the treatment to minimise any discomfort.

The treatment itself involves applying a small head made up of many small needles that carry bi-polar radio-frequency into the area being treated. This causes collagen stimulation for a smoother, tighter appearance.

How Often Are Fractora Treatments Required?

Your treatments will usually be spaced four to six weeks apart. The results are sometimes visible after just one session, but it’s more usual to see results after 3-6 sessions, which is what we recommend for optimum results.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Recovery Time?
The recovery period is approximately one to two days. Most people can return to work the next day.
What Are the Side Effects?
The area is red after treatment but this usually subsides the following day, when you can use make-up again. Small dry areas may appear after the treatment but they will disappear fast thanks to the aftercare products we recommend.
Are There Any Alternatives?
This treatment is often used in conjunction with other treatments like Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and peels. If your skin is more damaged than average we might recommend laser treatment.
