Profhilo is an injectable anti-ageing treatment made from high strength hyaluronic acid, perfect for skin that has lost its elasticity and firmness with age. It contains one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market, so the effects it has on boosting and hydrating the skin, remodeling ageing and sagging tissue, can be dramatic.
Profhilo can be used for the fine lines which appear on the face, neck and decolletage when the first signs of ageing begin to show. We can also use it on the body to treat crepey underarm skin, hands and knees, in fact anywhere on the body where you’re seeing visible signs of ageing.
Profhilo diffuses into your tissue over a period of 4 weeks, stimulating four different types of essential collagen and elastin. All you need is 5-6 tiny injections. It’s a fairly quick treatment with minimal recovery time.
Immediately after treatment you’ll notice small raised areas where the gel has been introduced under your skin. These will go away after 24 hours as the gel does its work, targeting the areas that need improvement.
You will start to see improvements four weeks after your first treatment, but the best results of all appear around eight weeks after your first session.
Profhilo isn’t better than fillers, it’s simply different. The two work really well in conjunction but they can also be given separately. We don’t use fillers on the same day in areas where we’ve used Profilo, which delivers intense hydration to leave your skin more luminous, with the fine crepey lines filled in.
