Treatment

A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to numb the skin being treated for 30-45 minutes to make the procedure comfortable after which a small roller is run across the area to be treated penetrating the dermis. The body will then start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin. This takes time as the new collagen and elastin is formed and new skin cells are generated. It can take up to six weeks before visible signs of repair and regeneration are seen, which is why the treatments are spread 6 weekly apart. In the treatment of acne scars and other types of scarring it maybe necessary to have more than the three recommended treatments.

Recovery

Immediately after your Genuine Dermaroller™ Therapy you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin may feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 1 to 2 hours and will normally recover within the same day with only slight redness the following day.
