Mesotherapy for Cellulite and Fat Reduction

Up to 95% of women in the UK have cellulite. The lumpy orange-peel look becomes more pronounced over time, especially on the hips, abdomen, buttocks and legs, and mesotherapy may be used to reduce the cellulite.

Mesotherapy can also be used to reduce the fat deposits which accumulate under the chin, causing double chins in men and women alike.

Mesotherapy involves applying multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients including amino acids (peptides) into the subcutaneous fat. Mesotherapy is a proven technique developed in 1952 and is popular not only for reducing cellulite and small areas of fat, but also for fluid retention and lymphatic drainage, improving circulation and treating rheumatology, sports injuries, and infectious and vascular diseases, and rejuvenating skin.

Prices start from £150.

Nanopeptide Technology

Nanopeptide technology is new to cosmetic surgery, and is a form of mesotherapy which involves injecting small amounts of a solution into the dermis. Nanopeptide technology can be used to rejuvenate skin, stimulate hair growth, remove brown age spots from the skin, and reduce fat and cellulite.

What are Peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids that occur naturally in human, plant and animal organisms. They work by stimulating the skin cells to synthesize collagen and elastin. With age, the number of natural peptides decreases and their synthesis slows down. As a result, wrinkles, furrows and pigmented lesions appear on the skin.  The skin loses flexibility and moisture.

Who is the procedure suitable for?

Mesotherapy is suitable for anyone aged 18 and upwards.

What can I expect?

A mixture of small amounts of vitamins, homeopathic ingredients and amino acids is injected under the skin. This stimulates the fat cells to break up the network of connective tissue fibres that hold them together and cause the orange-peel look.  The treatment encourages the release of fatty deposits, and improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage.  The body removes the dissolved fat naturally via the kidneys and bowel.

Twice-weekly treatments are required for up to six weeks for optimum results. Mild discomfort can be expected whilst the treatment is taking place.

Success Rate

Expect superb results! It's long-lasting so long as you follow a healthy diet and exercise, otherwise some cellulite may return. In the case of fat reduction, annual top-ups may be required.
