Mesotherapy for Cellulite Treatment

Up to 95% of women in the UK have cellulite. The lumpy orange peel look becomes more pronounced over time, especially on the hips, abdomen, buttocks and legs.

Mesotherapy treatment involves micro-injections of vitamins which break down the cellulite. The treatment stimulates the layer of fat that sits under the skin, helping disperse the cellulite.

Mesotherapy is a proven technique developed in 1952 and is today's most popular treatment for cellulite, fluid retention and lymphatic drainage. It's also extremely successful for improving circulation and treating rheumatology, sports injuries, and infectious and vascular diseases.

Who is it suitable for?

Mesotherapy is undertaken predominantly by women to treat cellulite in areas such as the buttocks, legs, hips and arms. It often affects very slim women who have little fat but suffer from lumpy orange peel skin.  Anyone aged 18 and upwards can have the treatment.

What can I expect?

A specially prepared mix of small amounts of vitamins, homeopathic ingredients and amino acids is injected under the skin. These stimulate the fat cells in your skin to break up the network of connective tissue fibres that hold them together causing the orange peel look.  The treatment encourages the release of fatty deposits, and improves blood flow and lymphatic drainage.  The body removes the dissolved fat naturally via the kidneys and bowel.

Up to twice-weekly treatments for up to 6 weeks are required for optimum results. Mild discomfort can be expected whilst the treatment is taking place.

Possible Risks and Side-effects

Bruising and Swelling

Bruising and swelling are possible side-effects.

Tenderness

The area surrounding the mini-injections will naturally be slightly tender overnight, but the tenderness will subside quickly.  You might experience a slight ache.

Recovery

There is no fixed recovery period. We don't recommend swimming for 48 hours after your treatment. Each session lasts between 10-20 minutes and you can get back to normal activities straightaway.

Success Rate

Expect superb results! It's long-lasting as long as you follow a healthy diet and exercise, otherwise some cellulite may return.  We usually recommend a course of 6 sessions.
