Frequently Asked Questions - Cosmetic Surgery

Can I see you for a "no obligation" consultation first?

Yes.  We think it's important to provide people with a comprehensive cosmetic surgery consultation to help them make up their minds before they commit to such a big decision.  It seems fair, and it means we only treat people whom we know beyond doubt have made the right decision for their circumstances. We prefer people to know the facts and then decide not to go ahead, rather than rush into something that can be a life-changing decision and then they regret it afterwards.

How do I know that I'm in safe hands?

All the practitioners and surgeons who work with us have been chosen for their expertise in the relevant area, so you'll be in expert hands.  You will have the chance to meet your surgeon up to several times to talk through your requirements.  We can provide evidence of our surgeons' qualifications and experience if you like, so you can be certain that the person treating you is a genuine expert in their field.

Are non-surgical treatments as effective as surgical treatments?

They can be, and there's a wide range of non-surgical treatments available. We often recommend that surgical and non-surgical treatments are used in combination for excellent face and body enhancement results.  We understand how important it is to give you a full, comprehensive examination and assessment to identify which non-surgical treatments will achieve the best result. We'll discuss everything in full detail when we meet you.

If surgery is my only option, will I need a general anaesthetic?

Many of the procedures can be carried out on a day-case basis, using a local anaesthetic.  We'll need to study your full medical history carefully before making a final decision.

What are the risks of cosmetic surgery?

Every procedure carries some risk, even the smallest, but rest assured we will make you fully aware of them.  You will be able to talk through the risks in detail right from the start, at your consultation or with your surgeon or practitioner.

What about recovery time?

Recovery times vary depending on your procedure.  It's good to know that the advanced technology now available to A New You enables most clients to return to work within a week of their procedure.

What about after-care?

We make post-treatment and post-operation check-up appointments for you, and it's vital that you attend. There is also 24-hour telephone assistance available to you, following an operation.

Can I spread the cost of my treatment?

No.  You must pay in full prior to your treatment.  If you need to take out a loan we can put you in touch with a finance broker, through whom you may be able to arrange a loan.  If you do take out a loan, you must still pay in full prior to your treatment.
